TYMBA Collaborates with Pahang Education Community to Strengthen Accounting Education
KUANTAN, 12 February 2026 — TYMBA Education Group continues to expand its engagement with state education partners as part of its commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s accounting education ecosystem.
Pahang is the first state to adopt this initiative, where TYMBA played a key role in supporting a programme aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Prinsip Perakaunan school teachers through professional training. The programme is designed to equip teachers with internationally recognised professional knowledge, ensuring that educators remain aligned with the evolving demands of the accounting profession and giving them the opportunity to obtain the ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (DiFMA) — an internationally recognised diploma certification awarded by ACCA, a globally recognised professional body with over 252500 members across the world.
The initiative was formalised through a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on 10 February 2026 in Kuantan, Pahang, marking the official launch of the programme in the state. The signing ceremony was held at the International School of Kuantan (ISK), which served as the launch venue for the programme.
The ceremony was witnessed by distinguished guests including YAM Tengku Panglima Raja Brigadier General Tengku Amir Nasser Ibrahim Shah ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and YHM Che Puan Panglima Puteri Hajjah Suraiya Afzan binti Dato’ Indera Haji Mohammed Moizz, alongside representatives from the Pahang State Education Department and other education stakeholders.
The MoU was signed by Airil Razali, Chief Executive Officer of TYMBA Education Group, together with representatives from partner organisations involved in the initiative, Ang Wen How, Position from ACCA Maritime South East Asia & Dr. Nurita Abu Tahir,Executive Director International School of Kuantan
Through this initiative, teachers will undergo training leading to the ACCA DiFMA professional qualification, which strengthens both academic teaching and industry-relevant knowledge. The programme reflects TYMBA’s broader commitment to connecting education with professional standards and real-world practice.
As the accounting profession continues to evolve, educators play an important role in preparing students for careers that require more than traditional bookkeeping skills. Modern accounting increasingly involves integrated business thinking and data-driven decision-making. By equipping teachers with professional knowledge and updated learning methodologies, the programme helps ensure that classroom teaching remains relevant to industry developments.
The programme begins with a pilot cohort of 30 educators in Pahang, before expanding to other states as part of a nationwide effort to train 1,000 accounting teachers across Malaysia. Selangor and Kolej Vokasional institutions will be among the next groups involved as the programme continues to scale nationwide.
The programme is delivered fully online through TYMBA’s digital learning platform, where participants complete eight structured modules covering accounting fundamentals and professional standards before sitting for the final assessment. Those who successfully complete the programme will receive internationally recognised certification by mid-2026.
For TYMBA, initiatives like this reflect the organisation’s continued commitment to supporting educator development and strengthening the pipeline of future accounting professionals. By working closely with state education communities, TYMBA aims to contribute to the long-term development of Malaysia’s human capital and ensure that students are better prepared for globally recognised professional careers.
As the education landscape continues to evolve, TYMBA remains focused on building meaningful collaborations that empower educators, strengthen learning environments, and support the future growth of Malaysia’s accounting profession.
