Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a global professional accounting body

HOW DO YOU BECOME AN ACCA MEMBER?

To become an ACCA member, candidate must complete 3 aspects of the ACCA Qualification:

ACCA Exams

    • ACCA Foundation in Accounting (ACCA-FiA)
    • ACCA Applied Knowledge Module
    • ACCA Applied Skills Module
    • ACCA Strategic Professional Module

ACCA provide up to 9 paper exemptions depending upon the students’ previous qualification. Students with non-relevant degrees will not receive any exemptions from ACCA.

Ethics and Professional Skill Module (EPSM)

Industry players are increasingly expecting accountants who are constantly updated on the recent accounting ethics. EPSM provides you a significant edge when applying to discerning potential employers since it is founded in actual business scenarios and covers complete range of advanced ethical and professional skills.

Practical Experience Requirement (PER)

Candidates must demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge in a real working environment as part of your route to become an ACCA member. Candidate will have to achieve 36 months of supervised experience that is related to accounting and finance.

In order to register the ACCA qualification without ACCA Foundation in Accountancy (ACCA-FiA), your previous qualification must be able to get exemptions for the ACCA-FiA modules.

HOW DO YOU BECOME AN ICAEW MEMBER?

To become an ICAEW member, candidate must complete 4 aspects of the ACA qualification:

15 EXAM MODULES

To become an ICAEW Chartered Accountant you must study and pass 15 exam modules focused on different aspects of accountancy, finance and business. Designed to provide you with in-depth knowledge across a broad range of topics, each of the ACA qualification modules are directly relevant to the work that you will do throughout your training.

While the modules are split over three levels:

  • ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting & Business (CFAB)
  • ICAEW ACA Professional Level modules
  • ICAEW ACA Advanced Level modules

The modules can be taken in any order, except for the Case Study which must be taken last.

ICAEW provides credit prior learning (CPL ie exemptions) depending upon the students’ previous qualification. Students with non-relevant degrees will not receive any exemptions.

450 DAYS PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE

Practical work experience is one of the four key elements of the ACA qualification, which you must complete to qualify as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. Working with an employer enables ACA students to put what you are learning into practice. Here you will develop vital skills for your future career and earn a highly competitive salary at the same time.

ETHICS AND PROFESSIONAL SCEPTICISM

Ethics is integrated throughout the ACA qualification to develop students’ capabilities. It’s about identifying ethical dilemmas, understanding the implications and behaving appropriately. ICAEW Chartered Accountants are renowned for their professionalism and expertise and by completing our professional development modules you will be taking your first steps towards being recognised as a credible business leader.

In order to register the ICAEW ACA qualification without ICAEW CFAB, your previous qualification must be able to get exemptions for the ICAEW CFAB modules.

MICPA

The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) programme is a unique collaboration between MICPA and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) which leads to 2 qualifications and memberships upon completion.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A MICPA X CAANZ MEMBER?

To become an MICPA x CAANZ member, candidate must complete 2 aspects of the qualification:

The Exams

  • Professional Stage Examination (PSE)
  • Advanced Stage Examination (ASE)

MICPA provides exemptions depending upon the students’ previous qualification. Students with non-relevant degrees will not receive any exemptions.

3 Years Mentored Approved Work Experience With Approved Training Employer (ATE)

The practical work experience is counted only for registered candidates who are attached to an ATE and in relevant field of work.

Advanced Stage Examination (ASE)

Direct entry into the MICPA x CA ANZ Qualifying Programme is a Degree in Accounting from universities accredited by MICPA or CA ANZ.

Professional Stage Examination (PSE)

Fast-track route for accredited Diploma in Accounting holders to obtain a professional qualification.

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is the global professional management accounting body.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A CGMA MEMBER?

To become a CGMA member, candidate must complete 2 aspects of the qualification:

THE CIMA QUALIFICATION

The CIMA Professional Qualification includes nine separate objective tests and their respective cumulative Case Study Exams on 3 levels.

You may be exempt from certain exams in the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and CIMA Professional Qualification if you hold a relevant degree or qualification.

PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT (PER)

Provide evidence of relevant, work-based experience, demonstrating a minimum 36 months’ practical experience across the four knowledge areas as defined by the CGMA Competency Framework: Technical Skills, Business Skills, People Skills and Leadership Skills.

CESGA

EFFAS Certified Environmental, Social and Governance Analyst (CESGA) is a necessary training programme of ESG issues into investment analysis.

HOW DO YOU BECOME A CERTIFIED ESG ANALYST?

Becoming an EFFAS Certified ESG Analyst grants you the rights to use the CESGA designation. You are required to:

Complete 8 module assessments + 1 case study relating to ESG issues in investment processes.

Open to all. No entry requirements.
