TYMBA Engages with Selangor Government to Support Education and Human Capital Development

SHAH ALAM, 21 February — TYMBA Education Group recently participated in the Majlis Berbuka Puasa Dato’ Menteri Besar Bersama Guru dan Komuniti Pendidik Selangor held at Dewan Raja Muda Musa, Seksyen 7, Shah Alam, as part of its continued engagement with the Selangor education community.

The gathering brought together educators and education stakeholders from across the state to reflect on the role of education in shaping a society guided by knowledge, strong values, and responsible leadership. During the event, Selangor Chief Minister (change global) Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari emphasised the importance of strengthening the education sector as a foundation for building resilient communities capable of navigating increasingly complex social and economic challenges.

For TYMBA, engagements with state education communities such as this provide important opportunities to strengthen collaboration with education leaders and explore initiatives that support educator development and human capital growth.

The engagement in Selangor is also closely connected to TYMBA’s ongoing initiative to strengthen accounting education through professional development for Prinsip Perakaunan teachers. The programme provides educators with the opportunity to obtain the ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (DiFMA), an internationally recognised professional certification designed to enhance both teaching capability and industry-relevant knowledge.

This initiative forms part of a broader nationwide effort to train 1,000 accounting teachers across Malaysia, ensuring that educators are equipped with professional-level knowledge that can be brought directly into the classroom. While the programme began with early engagement in Pahang, achieving this national target requires collaboration with multiple states, including Selangor.

Through continued engagement with the Selangor education community, TYMBA is able to support discussions on strengthening accounting education while exploring opportunities to expand the programme and reach more educators nationwide.

As the accounting profession continues to evolve, educators play an important role in preparing students for careers that require more than traditional bookkeeping skills. By equipping teachers with updated professional knowledge and exposure to modern accounting practices, initiatives like this help ensure that classroom learning remains aligned with the demands of the profession.

TYMBA remains committed to working closely with state education communities to support educator development and strengthen Malaysia’s pipeline of future accounting professionals.
